Description

Biocom Venture Days: Pitch to San Diego's Super Angels

One of the most interesting trends in San Diego life science investing is how the community is funding its own entrepreneurs. There is a new and growing breed of San Diego investor, born from our most spectacular exits, that is putting a lot of money to work in San Diego. Because we do innovation well, we do exits equally well, creating a group of Super Angels dedicated to funding San Diego innovation.

Biocom is pleased to announce the next event in our Venture Days series. On Tuesday, June 2, Biocom will host a panel discussion of Super Angels to discuss their investment philosophy and new trends in financing. This panel includes:

Greg Lucier (President & CEO, NuVasive)
François Ferré, Ph. D. (Founder & Chairman, AltheaDx)
Dan Bradbury (former Amylin CEO)

Following the panel, select early stage companies will have the opportunity to Quick Pitch each of these Angels.

The Angels are interested in meeting with companies that meet the below criteria:

  • Raising Seed or Series A Round
  • Focus area is anything in the life science spectrum - biopharma, diagnostics, health IT, med device
